Magic Spells

Here's the locations of all the magical spells and techniques.

Din's Fire- This spell allows you to use magic to make a ring of fire around Link. You can use this spell to burn things and to defeat enemies. You can only get this spell near Hyrule Castle as a child. The Great Fairy is behind the boulder at the end of the dead end path. Use a bomb to blow up the boulder and crawl through the hole. It uses 6 Magic Power points per use.

Farore's Wind- As child or adult, this spell only works in dungeons or temples. With this spell you can make a warp point in a certain area of a dungeon and just try to use the spell again and you can either warp back to that point or you can dispel it and make a new warp point. You get this spell in Zora's Fountain. As soon as you enter Zora's Fountain, go towards the right until you get to a little platform. Bomb the wall that has the boulder sitting next to it. Then the wall will blow up and go see the Great Fairy. It use 6 Magic Power points per use.

Nayru's Love- As child or adult, this spell creates a blue shield around Link. He is protected by any attacking enemies or any danger that may come to him. This spell will not last long, but it is very helpful. The disadvantage of this spell is that you can't use any other magic while this is in use. You can get this spell at the Desert Colossus. Towards the right there will be a false wall, blow it up and then go see the Great Fairy. It uses 12 Magic Power points per use.

Sword Technique- As a child or adult, one of the Great Fairies' will teach you a sword Technique. This technique will allow you to charge up your shield while holding down the B button once you pull out your sword. You can release it during two magical charges. One where it is a weaker charge, which is blue and another magical charge that is stronger and it is red. You get this technique at the top of Death Mountain.

Magic Meter Upgrades- You get the Magic Meter when you first receive the Sword Technique. The upgrade, which allows you to have more magic, is

Double Defense Hearts- As an adult, you can go to a Great Fairy and she'll give you a spell that will allow you to take extra damage. This Great Fairy is behind the huge black stone near Ganon's Castle. You have to use the Gold Gauntlets to pick this heavy stone up!!

The Fire Arrows- You get these arrows at Lake Hylia. In the morning, go over to the big dead tree and stand on the wood plaque and when the sun comes up, shoot an arrow at the sun. The Fire Arrows should drop down on the little island across from you. These arrows will catch enemies, torches, etc. on fire. They use 2 Magic Power points per use.

The Ice Arrows- You get these at the Gerudo Training Ground. If you complete the Training Grounds you will get the Ice Arrows. They will freeze whatever you shot them at for a short period of time. They use 2 Magic Power points per use.

The Light Arrows- Go to the Temple of Time after you awaken all the Sages and Princess Zelda will give you the Light Arrows. These arrows are extra fire power and do some extra damage to enemies that they are used on. You use these to fight Ganon. They take 4 Magic Power points per use.
